Program Description:

This 90-minute course, to be held Wednesday, May 6th, from 2:00 – 3:30 PM CDT, is designed to assist portable sanitation operators and their teams in dealing with extreme heat and other natural disasters (such as wildfires and drought). **Please note there is no “Handout #1” for this training – that handout covers cold-related concerns covered in our fall Extremes Course.**

Learning Objectives:

You will learn:

  • The key considerations and optimal tactics for placing and servicing units subject to hot temperatures (85 degrees F / 29 degrees C or above).
  • To identify acceptable tactics for securing units in windy conditions.
  • To create (or assist in the creation of) a hazard preparedness plan for their company.
  • The unique issues and considerations in providing portable sanitation during or after a natural disaster

Continuing education:

  • 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDHs)
  • PSAI Certificate of Completion automatically available for download in your Learning Center Profile after the program concludes.

The PSAI has also applied for continuing education credits from the following state portable sanitation regulators:

  • Alabama Onsite Wastewater Board – pending approval
